First main belief: There are no opposites, just varying degrees of the same thing. Our mind or ego creates good and evil, rich and poor; etc.
Why do I believe this? I believe this because science has proven that everything is the same as everything else at the molecular level. Everything is connected and mutually dependant. We are all made of the same substance as rock, trees, water, dirt, etc. We are made up of the same stuff as everything else. We are all the living embodiment of the force and so is everything else. The force is all there is. Here is a good analogy. If a banana is good or rotten, it doesn’t change that it’s a banana. One end of the pole represents a green banana, the other end represents a brown banana. Everything in between is merely a different degree of how good the banana is. At what point is it good to eat, at what point is it rotten? That all is a matter of human preference and there is no real answer. It’s all in how you perceive things in relationship to your conditioned identity.
How did I come to this realization? I simply learned to think outside the box and study. I educate myself on a subject and if it resonates as truth to me I believe it. It just makes sense. Whether the banana is black and buried in compost doesn’t change the fact that it’s made as the same material as my skin and hair. The only difference is vibrational frequency. The higher the vibrational frequency the more vibrant that thing is. The death of all things is a result of a slowing vibrational force. It is not a different force that is good or bad. It is the same force vibrating at a different degree of speed. One in the same it is! LOL!
What was a situation where this belief was exemplified? There was some bananas on the top of my fridge that turned funny looking, and the Discovery channel told me they were okay. LOL! Seriously though, it is exemplified under a microscope every day. I don’t have to prove it, it proves itself.
Second main belief: We create our reality through the power of our thoughts. Thoughts become things. This is the universal Law of Attraction.
Why do I believe this? Our thoughts like everything else have a frequency that goes out into the universe. These frequencies effect matter and communicate to the surroundings what it is we think about. These things manifest as reality. Molecules are directly effected by our thoughts. In fact they say that they aren’t even measurable until we intend to measure them. That means that the molecules relate to us and our intentions. Go to you Tube and watch the video Reality’s a Dream. I know it’s spelled wrong but that’s how it’s listed. If we are made in God’s image and God is a creating force that is one with us and everything else, then we too can create using that same power.
How did I come to this realization? I watched the secret, read the secret, and read the Complete Idiot’s Guide to The Law of Attraction. However that is not the end of the realization in itself. I apply it every day and my life is getting better. Other people think at a lower frequency and their lives directly reflect that. Again look around, it proves itself.
What was a situation where this belief was exemplified? I was broke working a job I hated, and I asked myself, “How can I change this?” I had no university education, but I had 20 years of martial arts training. I love to teach but I had no money to open a school. So I decided it might be possible to start an online school. However I started visualizing a brick and mortar school as I was trying to build a generic web-site. A month later a friend got ahold of me who said he was stuck in a 2 year lease with this building he didn’t want anymore. He also said the rent was only $600 because he bartered with the landlord for his security services. Needles to say I jumped on it, and things just keep improving.
Another example is my Mothers boyfriend. He had this phobia of getting hurt and not being able to make money as a truck driver because he had no money to fall back on. All he talked about were the what if’s! Then he pinched a nerve in his back, and now he is in a wheelchair.
Third main belief: The world is sustained by the force and we are part of that force. We were thought of and designed and created by this higher intelligence, there was no random big bang which we evolved from. (to put this force in a religious box does not glorify it, in fact it is an insult to its power and might.)
Why do I believe this? The big bang just doesn’t make logical sense. To say that a big explosion randomly occurred and caused the perfect conditions to sustain life is just retarded. We have just the right gases in the atmosphere to survive in just the right ratios. If we were any closer to the sun we would fry,and any farther and we would freeze. I could go on and on. Just think about it. The odds of this just are not possible. That is like me taking C4 to a junk yard, detonating it, and the result being a working and functional Lamborghini Diablo! Evolution is a scientific contradiction also. I forget its name, but there is a scientific law that says everything in creation dissipates. In other words, nothing born gets newer, we age and dissipate and go back to where we came. There are too many missing links in the evolutionary chain to prove it real anyway. It is all theory that is outdated and we are brainwashed into believing it.
How did you come to these realizations? I spent one year in a residential Bible institute. My view on Christianity is not traditional but that is irrelevant. I studied apologetics obsessively. Science points to an intelligent creator more and more. However if you are a scientist and you talk about it you lose your career. Universities brainwash us into buying into their biased theories and most of us are just too darned lazy to research the truth by ourselves.
What was a situation where this belief was exemplified? I simply read the other side of the story. Many scientist who have tried to prove creation wrong ended proving themselves wrong. When you do the math, it takes more faith to not believe in an underlying intelligent force than it does to believe in one. Just do the research and weigh the evidence. Then present the facts to a university professor who only knows his side of the story and watch him get all pissed off. That’s always fun!

I’m just going to start with a few questions and expand on your responses. First, how do you define evolution?
A note to think about: When something makes logical sense it is still based on your educational background and understanding. What was logical in my freshman year of physics changed in grad school. And even now what makes logical sense spiritually is based off of the most solid science I can find. I bounce ideas off spirit guides and make sure I have enough of an understanding to say I believe something and then just kinda leave it at that.
Side note: I took my ambien, and that’s causing me to ramble. I really want to see what your understanding of evolution is as well as the big bang theory. I don’t want to assume even based on what you wrote so far which has given me some idea.
Thanks!
I define evolution as “the evolution of human understanding”, or the “evolution of the human race.” I believe that these things must happen for us to ascend. However, I do not believe for example that we have evolved from monkeys or jelly fish.
That is ascientific theory that has too many gaps in it to believe in. All the so called “proof” of these things being possible has been way outdated. In fact, in my opinion it takes more faith to believe in that garbage than it does to believe in intelligent creation.
As far as the “big bang” theory is concerned it is hogwash to me. A big bang does not result in a perfectly balanced world where the so called “theory of evolution” can happen. The mathematical odds are more than impossible. It just can not happen. Humanoids have been around since before Atlantis, we have no monkey or jelly fish ancestors. Like I said, let me take C4 into a junkyard and detonate it. What are the chances of me getting a working Lamborgini Diablo as a result? HOGWASH I TELL YOU!
Logical sense does have something to do with my educational background I suppose. However this is not “external education.” I have educated and researched on my own, relying on outside influance only as an outside source to question. I believe what I believe because that is what my studies have lead me to conclude. “Keep company with those who seek truth, but beware of those who have claimed to find it!”- Syris, In other words science lies, and the scientists who don’t lie are without jobs!
It seems to me that your understanding of evolution and your reasons against it is flawed reasoning. Gaps in understanding does not disprove anything – it just shows we have more to discover. The act of making a fossil requires a very special chemistry that is actually pretty rare. We simply don’t have fossil records of many species that existed and we won’t going forward either. Life, in itself, is improbable. But look at the universe! There are billions of stars, planets, etc and yet very little life out there. Just looking at our solar system only one planet has the right conditions to support our type of life. That doesn’t mean another set of conditions can’t exist elsewhere that supports a different kind of life. The reason the ‘perfect’ set of circumstances exist here to create life is because any other combination failed to support life – this is the only thing left. We wouldn’t know any other conditions because we wouldn’t exist to observe it.
You have a distrust of science and I don’t know why this is. I know that I am not only a trained scientist I am a deeply spiritual person. The two are not incompatible as many other scientists know for themselves. But to say that scientists are liars…well quite simply you are calling me a liar. You are calling an awful lot of people liars without knowing anything about them, their beliefs, or considering that quite possibly your understanding is incomplete.
Now, does it matter if you believe in evolution? Not really. But it does matter if you are discounting an entire area of knowledge. It matters when it fuels negativity inside of you. And it’s all ironic when you start by saying science has proven everything is the same at the molecular level and then say that science lies!
I understand you have studied some things, but that doesn’t mean your understanding is at the level to make some of the statements you make. You can disagree, as you will, but I hope you will consider some of my words as they apply to the Jedi path. We must be aware of our inconsistencies in belief, wherever they are. Everyone has them in any case.
Oh, and have you read the Abraham Hicks material? The secret barely scratches the surface, Abraham hicks (books written by esther and jerry hicks, the teachings of abraham) is the material that has gone into greater depth with really awesome exercises. I have a few of the books in ebook format that I can email to you. They are the most useful teachers I’ve seen so far on the law of attraction type stuff, hopefully they can add even more depth to your own practice.
It sounds like you’ve done really well for yourself so far!
I guess I made avery bold statement by saying that science lies. That was really not my intention. What I do know is that we dont always get “the big picture” revealed to us.
Like I said, there are many scientists that come to a conclusion that there is an intelligent force behind our world based on their studies. However that is not the stuff taught in high-schools. I am always open to learn more about scienctific discovery. I truthfully believe that science and spirituality go hand in hand. In many cases science is “suppressed”, I guess that would be a more accurate statement. I say that because more and more scientist are coming to the conclusion that science points toward creation, but that is not what we are told or taught.
I would love to speak more on this subject and learn more! I am interested to hear how you as a woman of science came to be spiritual. I would like to learn and hear more. Especially since my understanding may be flawed. Are there resources of learning more about this subject to get a better understanding?
I want to have a better understanding of my belief system. Most importantly, I want to believe in the truth. However I do understand that I am a work in progress as far as finding it is concerned! LOL!
I have not read the books you speak of. I would love for you to e-mail them to me! I love reading and learning. I would be dead without books! This is why I am here Jax, to learn, and grow. I am coming to the path of the Jedi knowing I am a beginner in most areas, so I am open to any resources you have to help me out along the way.
Thanks for commenting by the way! I will be starting the next assignment soon.
